One US dollar is worth roughly 500 Chilean pesos in September 2010. The exchange rate varies according to the date registration is paid, so attendees are recommended to check the current value of the peso in the home page of the Chilean Central Bank at www.bcentral.cl/eng/.
Payment of Registration Charges
Values are defined in Chilean pesos because LOC will receive payments only in local currency. Up until the 9th of November 2011, payments can be made by credit card, international bank transfer and, in Chile only, direct deposit into the bank account. During the conference and at the conference venue registration will be paid for with either cash or credit card.
For advance and on line payments, there may be minor variations between these rates and those applied by the credit card companies or local banks of the attendees may arise, so attendees should check with their company and bank to determine the corresponding conversion rate and bank charges.
The conference web site will have a link to the registration system for effecting registration payment. Attendees are advised to pay before the 28th of July, 2011, to take advantage of the better rate.
Registration for Events and Activities
Some UGI 2011 events and activities require attendee registration separately from the conference registration:
- Field trips, technical visit and gala dinner (with a cost additional to that of registration).
- Inaugural ceremony, welcome cocktail and equestrian show (no additional cost).
