Web Site and E-mail available

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the UGI 2011 has started working on the various tasks of preparation. Officially LOC came into being at Military Geographic Institute of  Chile (IGM) as of January 2010, however, its members in fact began work on UGI 2011 a long time before this date. The first task of the UGI 2011 LOC consisted of making available to the geographers of the world and of the public in general the web site and the electronic mail address of the conference.

The web site, located at www.ugi2011.cl , will contain the main information about the conference; this will be continually updated. The site will also have links to the conference management systems, among them those for receiving and processing submissions and for attendee registration.  

The conference e-mail address is info@ugi2011.cl ; through this address the public will be able to interact with LOC about the aspects of the event that involve them (for example registering as attendee, submitting papers and posters, setting up meetings, the opportunities for businesses to sponsor or to run an exhibition booth). LOC willl respond promptly to all requirements.
