College of Geographers of Chile and LOC UGI 2011 agree on joint action

The College of Geographers of Chile, represented by its president, Geographer Oscar Liendo Palma and the geographers Gabriel Vega Gonzalez and Maria Ester Arancibia Fernandez, met on the 9th of June, 2010 with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of the Regional Geographic Conference (UGI 2011) and with representatives of the LOC Scientific Sub-Comittee Scientific (SSC).

The College of Geographers agreed to support UGI 2011 as a conference patron, disseminating news of the conference among its members and participating in the activities of the conference. At the same time, it was agreed to cooperate in holding a seminar to be organized by the College and focused on the perspective of professional geographers on the issue of preventing risks and hazards of both natural and human origin.
